2009.09.23 Gahhhh... things are quite boring around here...
School is boring. Life at home is boring. Weekends... MOAR BORING.
WHEN WILL THE BORING END???
That is a question I've been asking myself for the past few weeks, and, to the best of my knowledge, may remain unanswered for probably well until October. The only sign of life in those dead interwebs out there is Coldplay's new site look, St. Vincent's new video, and that the Fleet Foxes are going to be playing two gigs in San Francisco (who I really, really want to see since I missed my chance at seeing Coldplay while they were on their last American leg of the Viva la Vida Tour).
And until the boring ends, I leave you hanging with this awesome vid by St. Vincent.

2009.08.28 Untitled (Entry #48)
ooh dang. I haven't posted something in a while. I've got a lot of ground to cover here in one post so I'll make this quick: as of recently I've been watching a lot of animes, including .hack//Sign, .hack//Liminality, and Code Geass. all of which have been awesome, and taking up a lot of my time! XD I hadn't posted since... well... the last time I posted, and during that time, I was preparing for going back to school.
Now I'm officially back into routine, and I'm so very glad with what classes I chose this year, including the 2-7 period schedule. Included on my daily lineup are Creative Writing, Video Production, and Advanced Drama (Performing Arts). Each day I get to wake up, loaf about for an extra twenty minutes or so while watching the others around the house rush like mad animals to get to class by 7:30. It's fun to watch their frustration. :D
anyways... So far in Video Production, we've done the first project, (which I must say wasn't a complete failure) and everyone's projects were totally made of win. Next, we're going to do the angles project.
In creative writing, we've been warming up to the curriculum, and in a few months we'll be looking towards writing novels for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), which is going to be extremely fun.
In drama, we're deliberating slowly whether or not the first play we're going to do will be either Aladdin or Alice in Wonderland. At first the concensus is leaning towards Alice, but then the other committee turned around and decided they were going to do Aladdin. Another thing I'll mention is that later this year we're going to produce The Crucible too. I don't want to spoil too much, so that's all I'm sharing here at this point.
And my other curricular classes are great too, although I wouldn't have minded having a different history teacher... (because the notebook system I'm dealing with is kinda weird) ...but I'm letting it slide because it's U.S. History! Something I've wanted to re-learn for a long time! :D (and because my academic counselor refused to change my history teacher before school started... ಠ_ಠ)
Anyways, I've got to run. This weekend I will post some more.

2009.06.22 Summer School. Ugh.
Yes, I'm (unfortunately) in summer school, for three weeks (except Fridays). And my teacher is the most boring person on the face of the earth. It's not his fault -- he's rather old and is new to our school. It also doesn't help that there are lame and obnoxious people in my class as well.
Get this -- today we were beginning to read Animal Farm, By George Orwell. We were writing a small response paragraph, and the guy sitting right on my left asked the teacher aloud, "Is Stalin dead?"
... Really? Was that even a serious question? Joseph Stalin died of a stroke on March 5, 1953. Today is June 22, 2009, and he's been long dead and gone. We had only just finished watching a video about Stalin's rule of Russia, which mentioned that he died at the very end of the video; the narrator wasn't being inconspicuous, if you were paying attention.
another student who I have known to miss a lot of class for the most ridiculous of reasons kept up his reputation for being tardy a number of times and also going to the bathroom and almost not returning. At the beginning of class the teacher couldn't figure out the Aeries system so he had to take attendance manually. That student took the attendance up, and was gone for more than half the period. When he finally returned, not only had he picked up a bottle of spring water, he didn't even return with a pass!
These certain foolish people I have the misfortune of calling my fellow peers will probably continue to give our poor old teacher a hard time for the rest of the session. I disapprove of these shenanigans.
